Refund Policy

Arvéla – a trading name of Cascade Legal Ltd
Last updated: April 2026

The short version. You have 14 days to change your mind, but only until you download. Once you have accessed a guide or the Companion, the law treats the purchase as fulfilled. We refund defective content, duplicate purchases, and bundle-upgrade overcharges, and we stand behind the statutory rights every consumer has.

1. Your cooling-off right, before you download

Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, you have 14 days from the moment of purchase to change your mind.

If you have not yet started the download or accessed the content, you can cancel for a full refund within that window, no questions asked. Email hello@arvela.uk with your order reference and we will process the refund to your original payment method.

2. What happens when you download – express waiver

Our guides and tools are delivered electronically. When you click the download link in your confirmation email, or first access the Companion or Probate Pro, you expressly consent to the immediate supply of digital content and you acknowledge that, under Regulation 37(1), you are giving up your right to cancel the purchase of that content.

This is a standard feature of digital-goods trading. It means that, once downloaded or accessed, you cannot return a guide for a refund simply because you have changed your mind.

Your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 are not affected. See below.

3. Defective content or technical problems

Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, digital content must be of satisfactory quality, fit for its described purpose, and as described. If an Arvéla product is defective (pages missing, content corrupted, download broken, a tool that does not function as described) you are entitled to a repair, replacement, or refund as appropriate.

In practice, we will:

Email hello@arvela.uk with your order reference and a description of the problem. We aim to respond within two working days.

4. Subscriptions (Companion)

You can cancel your Companion subscription at any time through your account page or by emailing us. Cancellation stops future renewals. It does not refund the unused portion of the current period. You retain access until the end of the year you have paid for.

If the Companion is unavailable for a sustained period (24 hours or more in any rolling 7-day window) we will, at our discretion, either extend your subscription by the equivalent time or refund a pro-rata amount.

5. Bundle upgrades

If you have already bought a single guide and later purchase the complete library bundle, our checkout automatically detects the previous purchase on your email address and deducts what you have paid against the bundle price, so you are not charged twice.

If for any reason that credit is not applied at checkout, email hello@arvela.uk within 30 days of the bundle purchase with both order references, and we will process the difference manually.

6. Duplicate or mistaken purchases

If you accidentally buy the same product twice within a short window, email us within 30 days of the second purchase and we will refund the duplicate.

7. Disputed or unrecognised charges

If you see a charge from Arvéla or Cascade Legal Ltd that you do not recognise, please email hello@arvela.uk before raising a chargeback with your bank. We can usually resolve issues faster than the chargeback process and we would rather help directly.

8. How to request a refund

Email hello@arvela.uk with:

We will respond within two working days. Where a refund is due, we process it to your original payment method within 10 working days of approval. Refunds processed through Stripe typically appear on your statement within three to five working days after that.

9. If you are not satisfied

If you are not satisfied with how we have handled a refund request, please say so in writing to hello@arvela.uk. If you remain unsatisfied, you may refer the matter to a certified Alternative Dispute Resolution provider, or you may issue proceedings in the courts.

10. Your statutory rights

Nothing in this policy limits your rights as a consumer under UK law. The Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 apply to purchases made through arvela.uk.
